About Me

Hello and Welcome to Rations and Ale! This site is made to help those navigate through the adventures in RPG (Role Playing Games) and give people a place to find information about the games they enjoy.

My Adventure

I started playing role-playing games over 20 years ago. This started with a Magic The Gathering card game and grew into a love for fantasy games. I met a wonderful woman who shares my interests in gaming and we were married in 2002. I have played multiple gaming systems amongst many different groups, and this has led me to DM/GM (Dungeon Master/ Game Master) my adventures with those groups. I enjoy sharing our stories of games of the past with our kids, family, and friends.

Today, I work by day as a computer programmer and system analyst and by night I am gamer. My latest group and I have been going on adventures since 2017 and have covered a variety of different systems.

The Story Line

The idea of a site that contains all the information that an RP Gamer would need is not new. The ones out there seem to have the premise down, but were lacking something. It took me a long time to realize that these sites were missing. It was the experience with the games themselves. The reviewers did not seem to have the overall experience of the game captured in their reviews.

So, I took it on myself to make sure there was at least one site that focused on the games and mechanics as well as the reviews and where to get the items to make game play easy.

The Quest

The purpose (Quest) of Rations and Ale is to bring the latest reviews of games that are out there, give you tips and tricks on the games, and give you a one-stop-shop for all your RPing needs and wants.

If you ever need a hand or have any questions, feel free to leave them below and I will be more than happy to help you out.

All the best,

Archon Del Noche

  1. Very nice to meet you Archon! I love what you are doing here and I love the fact that you found someone special who enjoys the same things as you!

    1. Tracey,
Nice to meet you also, my wife and I have some very similar interests. She is the one that suggested that I start blogging about my gaming experience and share it with the world.
